Differences between the Demo Version and the Purchased Version
With this demo version, you can open the sample transcripts or type in your own transcript. Then you can select from all of the available analyses. Because this is a demo version, transcripts and files cannot be saved or printed. Other limitations are the result of our attempt to keep the download file small.- Transcripts and reports cannot be saved or printed.
- Two reports, Analyze Menu --> Grammatical Categories and Analyze Menu --> Grammatical Category Lists, are not included. These reports, based on a large dictionary of English words, parse all the words of the transcript into twenty-three grammatical categories.
- Only a limited set of the reference databases are included.
- The root identification files, used to identify the root form of verbs, are not included. This feature is used primarily with Spanish and French transcripts.
- Default program settings cannot be changed.
- Only a few of the User Guides, selected from the Help menu, are available.
Download and Install the SALT demo on your computer.
- Download the SALT 2012 Clinical Demo. Save this file on your desktop or to a download folder on your computer.
- Run the file you downloaded in Step 1. To do this either open the download folder and then double-click this file, or select Run from the Start menu and select this file from the download folder.
- Follow the installation instructions on the screen. The setup process creates shortcuts on your desktop and in your Start menu.
Run the SALT demo program
Double-click the shortcut (icon) on your desktop labeled SALT 2012 Clinical Demo or from the Start menu select All Programs --> SALT 2012 --> SALT 2012 Clinical Demo.
Uninstall the SALT demo
From the Start menu, select All Programs --> SALT 2012 --> Uninstall SALT 2012 Clinical Demo. Note: you may also remove this demo software using the "Add/Remove Programs" option in the Windows Control Panel.
