In this portion of the SALT Training, you will learn techniques for eliciting and recording good language samples. The explanations and examples of different language sampling contexts will help you choose the appropriate sampling context.

Getting Started provides general guidelines for eliciting language samples.

Elicitation Protocol provides scripts and examples of eliciting converational, narrative and expository language samples.

Frog Stories provides scripts and audio for six different frog stories. Note that only Frog, Where Are You? is used in the narrative story retell reference databases which come as part of the SALT software.
