Getting Started discusses the skills and materials needed to transcribe samples.

SALT Conventions contains descriptions of the SALT transcription conventions broken down by topics. Work your way through the topics, from the basic conventions through the advanced conventions, or just brush up on a few selected topics. Many of the topics include a short "Try It!" exercise to check your transcription skills.

Spanish Conventions describes the SALT transcription conventions which are specific to Spanish samples.

Refer to the summary of transcription conventions for a quick reference to the English and Spanish conventions.

Transcription Practice contains a series of short audio samples so you can practice your transcription skills. Transcribe one or more of these samples and compare them to the "master" transcription.
