Things to notice:
- :02 represents a 2-second pause in the middle of the first utterance.
- ; :03 represents a 3-second pause between the first and second utterances. Pauses not associated with a turn change begin with a semicolon.
- Significant pauses: Although you may mark pauses of any length, significant pauses are defined by SALT to be at least 2 seconds in length.
- Note: There is a short pause before the last utterance. This pause is less than 2 seconds and is not marked.
