Why do I need these materials?
The Expository and Persuasion reference databases, included with SALT, contain samples elicited from students in middle and high school using these materials. Samples elicited using the same protocol may be compared to age or grade-matched typical peers selected from these databases. The protocol requires that the student is given a few minutes to fill out a planning sheet which the student may refer to during the elicitation.
