(Mayer, 1969), Frog Goes to Dinner (Mayer, 1974), Frog On His Own (Mayer, 1973), and One Frog Too Many (Mayer & Mayer 1975) "Eric" (animated character) provides directions in the target language, presents the story model (for story retell protocols), and displays the pages of the book for the child to tell the story. The program comes with a built-in recorder which works well for in-person sessions (child sitting next to you). Using this recorder, the child's story is recorded and the audio file is downloaded onto your computer. If you are working virtually, you will need to use an alternate recorder, e.g., your phone, recorder built into Zoom. Use SALT Software (purchased separately) to compare these samples with the age and grade-matched samples selected from the Bilingual Spanish/English Story Retell, Bilingual Spanish/English Unique Story, and Monolingual Spanish Story Retell databases.
